Ravashing Rouching, Pleating, and Gathers, oh my!

Construction and techniques used in fabric design create the silhouette of a garment.  Creating small volume in necessary spots, allows the fabric to look form fitting on all body types.  Rouching and pleating, on top or below the chest, or on the sides of the torso are extremely flattering favorites for every fierce plus fashionista.  Pin tucking and gathering are other elements used to obtain that small gathered fabric concept.  Gathering in dresses, especially containing elastic or spandex is common, and provides a very shapely and slender silhouette.  Here are some examples!
